I would like to provide my highest possible recommendation for Lynn and Dave Edgerton as realtors. Both my husband and I have bought and sold four houses over the years, and worked with seven different realtors for each of those transactions. With that said, we have a great deal of experience with
this process, and know what good service looks like. Lynn and Dave far exceeded our expectations, and made a difficult process easy.
We initially reached out to them in June of 2020, when we were one year out from our expected listing date. We did this because we wanted to have time to go through our expectations, and come up with a plan for the listing. We knew there were things that would need to be addressed before listing, and wanted to make sure we had plenty of time for that. The Edgerton' s took the time to do a thorough walkthrough of our house, and identified things that would need to be fixed. In my opinion, they went above and beyond with this process because not only did they interview multiple people for the identified jobs, they also went through the leg work of obtaining several quotes, booking the work,
showing up to the house during the repairs, and following up with the companies that did the repair work. It was a huge relief to have them take this off our plate, and we were incredibly satisfied with all of the work that was done.
When it came time for the staging and listing, the Edgerton's took the time to make sure everything was "just right". They even helped by moving furniture around, and bringing in extra items for staging. Once that was done, the turnaround time was quick. They listed the house, and took care of everything when it was time for showings. Everything was worked around our schedule, so there was no inconvenience to us.
Another reason why the Edgerton's stand out to us is that they became like family during this process. They would stop by to check on things, they were very accommodating to our busy schedule, often having to meet in the evenings or weekends, and they became a bonus set of grandparents to our small children. We could tell that they genuinely cared about our family, and we were not just a prospective commission for them. I am immensely grateful to have found them, and would work with them again if we ever moved back to the area .
I don't think there is a better team out there when it comes to realtors in the Hampton Roads area. They far exceeded our expectations, and will do the same for anyone else they are working with. - Autumn and Michael
